What Was I Thinking

Bird Watching
requires quiet and no movement.
I was expecting K/1 students to sit still and stay quiet at the
same - What was I thinking!
We put up a humming bird feeder one day and the next day we had two
humming birds stopping by to check it out.
K/1 students took out mats and sat down in hopes that one of the
humming birds would land so we could get a closer look.
We did get to hear the buzzing of their wings and watch them fly
around but they would not stop and eat until K/1 students moved
away from the feeder.
Mrs. Farris lay down on a mat and took a couple of pictures to
share with the class.
We are hoping to try bird watching again! Maybe with smaller groups we will have more success.
