November 11, 2009
All four USD 504 attendance centers achieved the Building-Wide
Standard of Excellence in at least two subject areas. In addition,
Neosho Heights Elementary School was awarded the Building-Wide
Standard of Excellence in Reading, Math and Writing and Oswego High
School is recognized for achieving the Building-Wide Standard of
Excellence in all four subjects tested in 2009 – Reading, Math,
Science and Writing.
“This is simply another clear indicator that proves excellent
teachers and great students will produce outstanding results. Our
dedicated highly-qualified faculty provides our students with
exceptional learning opportunities. State Assessments are only one
indicator of academic excellence, however, our students have a
history of demonstrating outstanding achievement that is verified
by the comprehensive district testing program and success at many
academic competitions at both the regional and state levels.
Further, the percentage of Oswego High School senior students that
successfully complete the Kansas Regents Scholarship Curriculum
continues to be the highest among area schools.”
