Friendship pie making fun in KB!!
On October 21st, Ms. Schmidt's kindergarten class welcomed a special guest. Mrs. Jamie Gott visited our classroom!! She read the book "Enemy Pie". Then the class created a list of ingredients for friendship (apple) pie. We ended Mrs. Gott's visit sharing our yummy friendship pie!
Last week the kindergarten students had some science fun at Riverside Park. We may have played for a little bit too! It was such a beautiful day!
Charleigh Barnett was in the “Sweet Seat” in 1A this week.
Neosho Heights Thanksgiving Lunch will be Wednesday, November 20th. The cost is $5 per adult. If you are planning to attend, we need your reservation by 3:00 on November 15th. Congratulations to Paislee McKibben for setting the new 2nd grade Pacer Test record in PE today. She beat the old record by three by running 48 laps. Great job Paislee.
First grader Brogan Royer completed his number writing to 1,000. He’s posing with his chocolate bar he earned for his hard work.
Fourth grade attended Americanism Day at the VFW in Parsons this morning. History of the American flag and flag etiquette were a couple of the topics they discussed. The students were also able to watch a flag retirement ceremony. We ended with hotdogs, ice cream, and singing the national anthem!
1A won 1st place in the wall decorating contest for K-2 at NeHi.
Halloween fun at Miss Ann’s. Both classes had fun breaking a spider piñata.
5th grade students are working on word choice this month and on adding more precise language and sensory details in their writing. Each student selected a word that needed to be replaced, and we buried these tired, overused words in our cemetery.

2A wrapped up their Super Storms story by making their own tornadoes in a bottle! 🌪
Halloween at NeHi
- Bring costumes to school. Do not wear costume in the morning.
- Kids will change at approximately 2:00.
- Parents are allowed in the building at 2:00 to help.
- Students will parade around the gym at approximately 2:15.
- Students will return to class after the gym parade where they’ll celebrate with classroom parties.
- Students will need to change out of costume before leaving.
- Costumes must be school appropriate. No weapons and no face or hair paint.
