There will be no school tomorrow, December 17th, due to road conditions. Stay safe and warm!

The music/band concert that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed due to inclement weather. The rescheduled date will be determined as soon as possible.

That’s a wrap! The Penny War has come to an end. We will announce a final total and winners on Monday!





First grade has been learning about Christmas’ around the world. 4 OJSHS students are participating in the exchange program this year and they came and shared with first graders about how and when they celebrate Christmas. Shalini from India, Ludo from Italy, and Anunya and Ingorn from Thailand share about their home and traditions.

The food drive is still going on until Monday, December 16th. Thanks to all who have donated so far!


The Penny War has begun! 5th grade is in the lead for today. Remember to bring your pennies and bills for your class, and bring silver coins to lower the points for other classes! We’ll update the leader board tomorrow afternoon!


Jolee Fiscus made it to the barn by passing her multiplication facts today! Congratulations Jolee!


Timothy Fowler completes his number writing to 1,000 in 1B. Way to go Tim!


Isabella George has been hard at it and completed her number writing to 2,000! Way to go Isabella.


Congratulations to Hunter Owen, Jaycee Schulz and Makayla Farrow-Getman for breaking the Pacer Test record today in PE. Hunter ran 63 laps, Jaycee ran 50 and McKayla ran 63. It is the third time this year McKayla has broken the 5th grade record.

Our elf was delivered from the North Pole to 1A today. The kids were super excited. We decided to name our elf Peppermint.




K-2 Christmas Program 🎄


After reading Schools Around the World, Second grade had the pleasure of having three local foreign exchange students come speak to them about school in their home countries. Anunya and Ingorn are from
Thailand, and German is from Spain. They were so informative and everyone enjoyed it!





Tre Weimer is working on math skills on the chromebook while Molly the guinea pig offers encouragement and fun!


After reading Balloons Over Broadway, 2A created their own balloons to parade around the school. 🎈


"Operation Unlock the Oven" in 3rd and 4th grade Math this week.
