OJSHS Volleyball seniors greeted SVCA students as they got off the bus this morning. These three girls all went to school at SVCA.
SVCA will be in the McCune Fall Festival parade this Saturday Sept. 28th. We will meet in front of the old McCune grade school at 10:15.
Rayden Myers 7th grader will represent SVCA at the Labette County Spelling bee on Oct. 9th. Runner up was 4th grader Dylan Johnson. We are really proud of all the contestants that participated in SVCA spell off today. Our spelling bee went through round 18 before our winner was determined.

Students played high and low pitch sounds on the washtub bass. They enjoyed seeing when the string vibrates faster it creates a higher sound and when it vibrates slower it creates a lower sound.

Grandparents Day 2019
SVCA students will be celebrating Grandparents Day tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 from 8:30-9:30. Each grade will give a short performance in the gym starting at 8:30. Following the performance the Grandparents will be invited to visit the Book Fair in the gym. Grandparents will then move to the classrooms to enjoy a drink and cookie, and pick up the small gift the students made to celebrate some pretty important people in their lives.
Author, Ruth Zimmerman, visited SVCA K-2 classroom's today to read her book, Rigby Makes a Difference, to the students.
